How it all began

A sailing trip in Sardinia in the summer of 2017 sparked the idea:
A rat climbed up a mooring line and chewed through the cable of the navigation lights.

This experience motivated our father, Leo Stähler, to find a real solution to the problem,
because despite the widespread rat issue in marinas, there was no effective answer for mooring lines.

In 2018, we — siblings Jacqueline and Simon Burkhardt — founded the company
J & S retail GmbH in Zürich and brought the rat guard to market under the brand No Rats On Board.
